Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The name of the company is BIMriver or BimRiver or BIMRIVER or ???. Within the structure of the company are elements that work with the river theme such as our library which is called BIMport. We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, but plan to market to a client base across North America.

The logo effort we are looking for right now only contains BIMriver as the one word in it and captures the river theme. Having said that we would prefer subtle to obvious.

We are a group of professionals in the building and interior design and education fields. We provide education, delivery and facilitation platforms in Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems to Designers, Architects, Educators , Industry and Government. BIM is open transparent system using a 3d model based core which allows all stakeholders to interact with the model and each other in a common interface. This results in effective time, cost, process and resource management from initial concept through to occupancy and beyond to the maintenance and eventual recycling of a structure. Our customer base ranges from small firms to the very largest corporations and government departments.
In time, we intend to become the prime interface between users of model structures in our library and the design industry, government and educators. Our logo needs to be solid and trustworthy, simple and clear without being overstated. It needs to be scalable. It should be two or more colours but understandable as monochromatic as well. Incorporating shades of blue and white and/or green would probably be good choices. The winning logo will be used on stationary and business cards as well as on any web based media. The following animation gives an overview of the process. The tone and colors of this animation fit our approach well although we do not want to seen as imitators. We want to convey an attitude of inclusivity and openness to present and future clients whether they are using BIM already or merely considering adopting it.
