MarginNote iPad App New UX

Hier ist was ein Geschäft in China für sein app design vorgenommen hatte.

MarginNote is a new AppStore iPad app:

The app is very useful for some readers and learners,but the usability is not so good.The design need to be optimized.
Listen to the voice from one user:
"Unusable!!!Neither intuitive nor any form of usability! Superficial and useless manual. Confusing interface!"

So,I need good designers's help to optimize the UX and usability of MarginNote.
The target of optimization is making the app easy to use and solving the confusion problem of UI(Make UI clear and consistent).

I'm open to deep UX change suggestion.
