Children's game needs illustrations of characters

We need illustrations of 4 characters featured in a children's game. Each character will appear on a rectangular card, set vertically. Each character has a unique power, which should be depicted in the illustration. The illustrations should convey ACTION.

The characters should be appealing to children ages 8-12. Colorful, lively, and dynamic and have a personality. You can reference animals, insects, objects, forces of nature (wind, waves, hurricanes, etc.), or mythological creatures for inspiration - but NOT martians or robots. They should have human characteristics as well (hands, hair, smiles, big eyes, etc.), whichever is appropriate for the character. The characters will appear as a set, so the style of drawing should be consistent, and the characters should appear as though they all belong in the same world.
