I completed studies in the following areas Design (Advertising, Typography, Design, Media, Web Design etc.), Fine Art (Painting, Drawing, Photography, etc.), General Studies (English, Anthropology, Philosophy, Psychology etc.) and Business (Accounting, Consumer Behavior, Marketing etc.).    Since graduation, my studies have continued independently and have included business strategy & formation, marketing and promotion, writing, and other areas of art and design such as fashion and film. Besides independent study, I worked in Advertising in New York City for two year’s and I have spent the last three years living abroad. I speak Brazilian Portuguese and I have acquired a true worldview. My primary interests are art and culture and these interests do where applicable inform my work. I am a designer who loves research and writing, curating and creating with business as an underlying focus. My most recent ventures were JanellasJanell.com a pop culture media heavy website which featured a podcast, blog and tons of video and an as yet published heavily researched non-fiction book entitled GORDO: The Fight Against Overweight and Obesity and How to Win Without Dieting. When I am not pursuing my own projects, I practice design via freelance and contract work, I look forward to working with you. hide
