My youth was spent being proactive in harnessing my talent and desire for creating works of art. Even at this early age I had a clear view of what I wanted to be and the things I wanted to accomplish. I made sure to get my feet wet early on and immersed myself in the field of photography; going as far as to be appointed to being an instructor for photography to incoming freshman students while i was still an upper-classman in high school. In college, I delved into the field of graphic design and furthered my quest into exploring my potential as an artist. College is the place where I gained a reputation for being consistent and as a hard worker; garnering awards such as being the first place winner on AIGA's 2006 Design in The Fast Lane Competition in Dallas, Texas and as a finalist in the Best collage Photography Annual 2007. I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. As a professional I pride myself for never settling for anything less than producing fresh and innovative works for my clientele. My first commercial work was printed on 002 Houston Magazine in 2007. Shortly after graduating from college in 2007 I had the great fortune of being employed by PWL Studio; a local creative agency based in Houston, TX. Ever since then, all I have done is gain even more experience and skill within the realm of Graphic Design and Photography; familiarizing myself with the creation of posters, flyers, brochures, logos, identity development, and photography. Currently, I also run my own freelance graphic design business venture aptly named Dikka Design. My purpose is to provide my clienteles a unique perspective and solution in keeping with their needs. With Dikka Design, I aim to show people my vision as an artist and take them along for the wild and fun ride that is Dikka Design. hide
