Logo and Icon design for racing website (running, cycling etc)

Hi there.
I am starting a new race listing website. The current site can be found here www.myraceyear.com.

I need a logo for the site (I have no current brand or ideas on colour etc) and also google maps icons / markers for the following:
- Off road running
- Road running
- Skiing
- Mountain Biking
- Road Biking
- Multisport
- Sea kayaking / canoeing
- River kayaking / canoeing

I'd like the logo and icons to have a similar feel; I'd like the icons to feel part of the 'brand' / logo.
