Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Background:
Orbit Accounting and Tax has been established in 2012 in Sydney Australia. Orbit is now at the stage of the business where it needs a strong brand look and feel so that we can start promoting the business to new clients.

Orbit is run by a young accountant who has previously owned a successful accounting practice. The look and feel of the previous business (franchised) was heavily corporate and projected a professional, but dated feel.

Desired Tone:
Young, urban, professional and forward thinking accountants. It’s the accountant for the young professional.

Look & Feel
Please see below image for the style Orbit Accounting and Tax are looking for in their brand execution. It needs to be a clean type logo with either a slab serif or serif as the hero font. There should be a good use of white space with design consideration taken of the kerning between the lettering. A sans-serif font can be used as a secondary font to compliment the Orbit logo. Please note, no image is needed to compliment the logo, it is strictly typographic.

In terms of colours, Orbit still needs to be professional and so black or a strong grey will be the hero colour(s), however Orbit will be open to other secondary colour pallets to accompany it.

Requirements
Rather than see a logo, we would like to see a design execution on a business card as we already have a clear understanding of what we would like the logo to look like.

1. Business Card:
Print Specs: The business card will be 90mmW x 55mmH, Letterpress printed on a 600gsm Crane Lettra. As the business card will be letterpress printed please use only one PMS colour (maximum of two) No files with CMYK.

- Orbit Logo on the front and center (please note the ‘stop’ after Orbit. Orbit can be in lower case, upper case or sentence case.

2. Letterhead
Print Specs:
A4 (297mmH x 210mmW) single sided

As per the business card, logo and details aligned in top left hand corner

3. With compliments slip
Print Specs:
99mmH x 210mmW, Glued along short left edge in pads of 50 (so please allow 5 - 10mm from edge), single sided. Can be prepared in CMYK.

Design should be as per the business card, but on one side.

Logo file types:
Please supply business card as open artwork, either packaged indesign or illustrator files (Not photoshop) Please ensure all fonts are embedded and that the font has been noted so we are able to purchase later.

Please supply the letterhead as a word doc and the with compliments slip as either packaged indesign or illustrator files (not photoshop please).
