Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo for The Black Bear. It is a well-established independent coffeehouse, bakery, and restaurant nestled in the mountains just north of the entrance to Denali National Park, Alaska. We have a great love nature (obviously!), community, the craft of coffee and fresh food. Our log cabin building is home to the community hub in this seasonal summertime adventure mecca nestled in the spine of the Alaska Range. The midnight sun is ever present, the wildflowers steak our mountainsides, the hearts grow wild and deep here. It is the seat of the last frontier.

We would like to see designs that incorporate the wilds of interior Alaska (like Mt. McKinley profile, mountains in general, Alaskan flora, spruce trees, black bears), maybe textures (like wood, block prints, water mark, brush strokes), but can be clearly replicated on lots of hip merchandise. The final design should communicate simplicity, beauty, craft and community.

SIDE NOTE: Being the owner, and an artist, I have felt a great desire to create something of my own hand. But, I have not been able to translate any of my sketches into something we LOVE as a logo. I have attached two files of my own work. Please feel free to use them in your projects, or to inspire your design. Or - make something totally different! These designs are just ideas. We have also attached our old logo for reference.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• We want to have something that feels like Alaska. I also want people to see it and think, "I must have that on a t-shirt!"

Schön zu haben

• In previous sketches, we have incorporated a B (or two) with a bear. If you can find something very innovative and creative to do with that, great. I would like the bear to feel simple with a touch of beauty.
• We love nature, textures of nature, rustic, details of Alaska flora, mountains (Mt. McKinley especially).
• Also nice to have: the shape of the state of Alaska.

Sollte nicht haben

• We would prefer not to have a cheesy cartoon bear.
