CD-Cover-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hello there!

We need an amazing artwork for our band's upcoming EP release! This is the launch of our band so it really needs to grab attention, be instantly identifiable and unique!

The band is called: Black Cat Chill and the album title is Princess Coyote (title of one song).
The music is a Blues/Rock with 2 guitars, drum & bass and a smokey & soulful female voice.
Lyrical themes of the album are: addiction, alcoholism, mistrust, obsession, rejection, murder, and also transcendence.

Packaging:
We need an album cover and design of all images for a 4 panel cardboard CD package (Front / Back + 2 Insides) - Digifile Standard size - 141mm x 125mm x 4mm.

We want to leave the design open to interpretation just bear in mind this lyrics are really blues oriented, with deep feelings.
We envision a continuity between the panels (in other words telling a story throughout the 4 panels) but this is not a must.
Also, even though we are not looking for a joyful design, it should NOT trigger anxiety or be too dark minded.

We prefer digital graphic or photographic style over illustrative style (for example absolutely no fantasy/airbrush designs) and we do not want anything too literal.

It can be linked to our band name or album title (but please avoid the traditional relaxing black cat or coyote in a Tiara ;-)). It also can have nothing to do with either if them.

With all this said, we are very open to all ideas and want you to think of this as something you can get creative with.

We do not have special fonts for the band name. Let your inspiration flow!
The art will be printed and posted on digital media like itunes amazon.

If you win the contest, you will need to provide files that allow us to alter some of the text (like the track list / production info...) or to update the barcode because this will be available / decided later.

The winner will get high chances to produce other merchandising design projects.
