Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for a new web development team called "Crater Digital" - aka "Crater", based in San Francisco. Our clientele is small and medium businesses across the United States. We create applications that integrate or replace administrative workflows, custom websites (100% custom, or CMS-based -- e.g. WordPress themes), and provide server management and consulting services.

We'd like to see designs that use reds or blues, but feel free to be creative with colors. We prefer a minimalist design, either text-based or text combined with a correlative graphic (we'd suggest a graphic that is meteor/crater-like). The final design should be modern, simple, and most importantly, identifiable. It should be able to stand on its own.

Attached is a png of a quick idea from a contractor. It's not "quite there", but may be a source of inspiration for you.
