My brand new company is called givands (all lowercase). Our slogan is "Ideas. Policies. Action."
***I would like to see some graphic element to support the text portion of the logo. I desire to have a graphic element that could stand on it's own to represent our brand when the full logo with text is too large.***
givands is a think tank focused on improving lives by contributing ideas that help people better understand the world they live in. By developing good ideas, we then create sound policies to support those ideas. And finally, we recommend ways people can act to support those ideas and policies.
Our focus is mainly on economic and financial topics.
For example,
- we don't believe that the 2008/2009 Great Recession was necessary, and we don't want similar events to happen again in our future
- we think our government is spending way too much money, uncontrollably, and we want it to stop
- we think there are lots of businesses that have crony relationships with government giving them unfair benefits over the rest of us, and want to tear these relationships apart
- we believe families should have access to safe ways to save and invest their money; we want to bring these options back
- we think 0% interest rates for 7 years running is insane! we want the Federal Reserve to quit meddling in markets.
But we're focused on the common man. We aren't a high brow think tank. Our target audience is you and me, not academics or professional economists or politicians.
We're focused on educating and making change from the ground up!
