how are we going with the new name?
Hi all,
I haven't got a new name yet, but I expect to have one within a few weeks. Once I do I'll post it right away, and if you want to you can adapt your submitted logo(s) or create a new one and submit it. Before then, I don't think it's very useful to give extensive feedback because we definitely know that none of the current logos will be the winner, adapted or not. I can't even really judge the general style yet, because the new name might require a whole new look. Now, if you want me to tell you what I think of your design(s) in a general sense, let me know and I'll rate it/them, but, as said, that won't say anything about the outcome of the contest, just about my taste.
Again, so sorry about all of this!
Best,
Sarah
Hi all,
Good news: I've got a new name! Designcrowd has extended my contest by ten days, and so the game is back on. The new name is BookScience, and I've adapted my brief accordingly. If you want to adapt your logo(s) to the new situation, I'd recommend taking a good look at my brief again, because I haven't just changed the name. The basics are the same, but these are the main things I changed/added:
-I'd like it if there were some representation of the 'science' part of the name in the logo.
-I've changed 'editing services' to just 'editing'.
-I think it would be good if the logo stayed away from the BS thing (bullshit editing isn't really what I'm going for).
There's more information in the brief itself, and I've also added a new picture for inspiration about the science element.
Thank you guys, and I really hope you're not too annoyed by all this to resubmit!
Best,
Sarah
The anatomy of type file really didn't need to be uploaded for designers, because every graphic designer understands what it is, if they don't then I'd be very worried. Thanks for your invite to the project, you stated that really like my work from my profile, to get a clearer picture if you could message me back and inform me if there is any of these designs that appeal to you and would like to see incorporated in your logo! Preferably that you private message me please, so that this will prevent others seeing the designs on my profile when you discuss them.

Hi,
Thanks for your message. I posted the anatomy of type picture not to demonstrate the anatomy of type (of course you guys know that), but because the visual of the picture is 'sciency', I said I wanted the science element in my logo, and this is an example of a sciency visual (applied to text) that I like. It's purely to demonstrate a visual preference.
I'd love to send you a private message about your designs, but I seem to be unable to figure out how. You haven't submitted a design yet (right), so I can't do it that way, and I can't find another way. Sorry! If you know how, send me a private message and I'll reply to it.
Best,
Sarah
Hi,
I haven't sent any designs yet, I had just accepted when I sent you a message. I am not sure either HA. When I submit a design I will send another message here, then you can send a feedback and take it from there. I think the other way is by going to my profile then send a message. I will double check that for you.
Kind Regards

Hi all,
I added a bunch of pictures to my brief for inspiration. Some are of typography I like (very book-like but still creative) and others are of scientific symbols, etc, that might work with your design.
Best,
Sarah
Hi all,
Thanks for all your wonderful designs! I'll start my poll tomorrow, so if you want to submit anything else, it has to be in before then: let's say nine AM Dutch time on April 22nd.
Best,
Sarah
