Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are seeking a logo for merchandise and artwork. We are a power/melodic death metal band called Hallows Descent (no apostrophe). Our logo should be based around the themes of our lyrics: Time, mortality, despair, nature, and reflection. Our name represents the fall of the righteous and those who rise from their ashes (open to your interpretation).

The logo should reflect a Classical aesthetic that evokes the era of the Renaissance; elegant and intricate, yet legible (we are not a black metal band). We are not generally interested in any anti-Christian or clichéd imagery, unless it is relevant to one of the mentioned themes. Cosmological, mythological, and pagan ideas are included, but not required.

Our discography includes titles such as "Of Time Immemorial", "In Meadows of Dead Asphodel", and "Sleeping March." Choose ideas that properly express the sentiment that you feel accompanies ideas such as these. Artists that have logos similar to our intentions include Opeth, Moonsorrow, Ensiferum, Wintersun, Amorphis, and Born of Osiris (note: we do not want a logo that is too similar to any of these).
