Does it matter if your logo is stock?

Stock on a logo is bad, free stock with a Creative Commons Attribution license is even worse..unless you want to add in zcool's URL on your business card and everything else you use your logo on— if that is even the author, who knows? What a legal gong show that would be. Even the Globe, it's royalty free but still has usage restrictions, one of the first ones being "Prohibited uses for both Standard and Extended license - Use in any logo or trademark".

Sorry, just realized your doing a logo contest as well.

Good thing you're already planning on creating a new logo.. just make sure you don't pick something that uses your old globe or horse.
