Hello, when you said 'same technique' did you mean same 'hand drawn style' or did you want them to look similar as well? and is there any photo reference of Sallie?

Dear Erica - Thank you very much for your query - by "same technique" I simply meant ''not a photo'' - this is an illustration project, that is, a graphic artist''s interpretation of character - your phrase ''hand drawn style'' is exactly what I should have said.


This manga/comic book character "Sallie Mae" is a veteran ''Bakersfield sound'' Country star who also runs this fictional "Musical Dude Ranch and Performance Academy."  One place start with with what "Sallie Mae" might look is the real life - and great - interpreter of the Bakersfield sound, Heather Myles.  Beyond the Bakersfield sound connection [I happen to really like that music] there is no connection between this real artist and the fictional, graphic novel character - but, for overall look and feel of the character, the following YouTube videos might serve as the starting point/reference you ask about.
