Illustration-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Constellation Dice are a new concept, but could as well have been invented 2000 years ago, when Ptolemy first mapped the night sky.
These are six sided dice that use real constellations instead of the standard dots, and glow in the dark if you turn off the lights.

1) Check the project at http://igg.me/at/constellationdice
2) Think about a fantasy, science fiction, or historic setting
3) Design a color illustration dramatizing the use of these Dice
4) Save some background for text on the top or bottom

This will be used on the campaign website and will be printed on a leaflet sent together with the dice. If you wish so, your website / name will be advertised as the author of the illustration. Think of something cool!

Some ideas may be... an old mage using dice for divination... aliens o gods playing a game of dice in dark environment... ancient astronomers playing with dice among scientific instruments of the time... astronauts rolling dice in the void of space... spaceships travelling among constellations of dice... whatever could make these dice... shine!

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• Show the dice prominently: it must be visible, it must be well drawn, it must be cool.
• Allow for some space in the background for text, and use possibly a dark setting.
• Draw or paint in a realistic way, or use 3d models, but make it engaging.
• Have some kind living being as a subject, be it a intelligent robot, an alien, a dwarf, a mage or an old school cartographer or sailor.

Schön zu haben

• Do not show the dice TOO prominently... let it be part of the scene, the subject of the action, but do not just put big dice up front and something beside or behind it, unless for dramatic purposes (such as dice falling from the open hands of... choose your subject). It would be nice to see real drawings or digital paintings. Well detailed sketches may be good, if they are proportioned and expressive.

Sollte nicht haben

• Do not use a palette of ten thousand colors. Do not draw ten thousand things if you don't want to invest the time to make them look right. It's better something simple but effective, than something overcomplicated and half-done.
