Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We have a new company that focuses on branded merchandise for people that live and vacation in Siesta Key Florida.

Siesta Key has unique and beautiful quartz white sand beaches and is often rated the No. 1 beach in the US.

The mood is vibrant, but sophisticated - with a strong sense of playfulness and whimsy.

We are using the word 'Keyster' as a play on words for 'keister' (derriere). A key'ster is person that lives on the Key and/or strongly identifies with its lifestyle.

We have an idea to possibly use a mermaid in rear view as a logo graphic mark with stylized lettering. Her back and tail can serve as the S in 'Siesta' Keyster. Shown in rear view, the outline of her bum could illustrate the 'kiester'. Another option would be to show the outline of a 'bum' sitting/tanning on the beach (like a grown up version of the Coppertone Girl.

We're open to other ideas as well. The logo should look sharp, whether small or large - on hats, t-shirts and the like.

The logo should work well in color and black and white.
