Logo Assignment
We need a logo design for a new company called "HomeBuddy."

About HomeBuddy
HomeBuddy helps you more easily understand the value of your home, and even sell your own home, using software that helps guide you through a smarter, easier to use process to determine how much your home is worth, optimize web and social media marketing, and easily sell your home with a modified auction process that you control. Most importantly, we can save you thousands of dollars that you can put toward your retirement or your child's college fund. We even donate a portion of proceeds to housing related charities, because we believe that everyone deserves a place they can call home.

HomeBuddy Brand
We picked the name "HomeBuddy" because we want our service to feel like a friend who is helping you through the process of understanding your home, what it's worth, and how to save money if you want to sell it yourself. We would like a logo that is fun, inviting and simple. We want our logo to put a smile on your face and make you want to click on it.

Logo & Brand Extensions
Logo should be easily identifiable and customizable. It should be easily identifiable with both the “Home” and “Buddy” elements, and it should able to expand via brand extensions in the future where one term stays constant, but the other term rotates (e.g., HomeBuddy the analyzer (logo with glasses), etc.). We feel that Opower’s Pluggy did this well, though their logo might be a bit too simple for our taste as we like a bit more personality (see attached files for the Pluggy example).

Our target market is people in the United States between the ages of 30 and 60 years old. Initially, we believe these will be people who own homes or want to buy homes, so relatively well educated and with good incomes.

• Must have both the "Home" element that gives a sense for what HomeBuddy is all about, and the "Buddy" element that is friendly and inviting (with some human type of characteristic incorporated, such as a smile incorporated into a house, a stick figure or other figure who is positive, cheering or excited might be some ideas)

• Ideally, the logo (or a simplified version of it) could be used as one (or more) of the letters in HomeBuddy.
