We make and sell heavy-duty, durable leather goods like bags, journals, and wallets…
Needs in Logo:
1. Moose… full moose, not just a moose head and we want the moose-iest moose you can muster.
2. Words Portland, Oregon but less obvious than the company name
3. Name Moosehead Knox in a great font that will look good stamped on leather
Do NOT Want
1. A moosehead silhouette
2. A full frontal moose head that looks like a stuffed or mounted head
3. The moose to be standing on anything....
3. A round or roundish design
4. MOOSEHEAD KNOX all in caps all in one long line

Integrating the moose with the words Moosehead Knox. We have liked some logos with a moose up top and the words Moosehead Knox underneath. They can look clean and beautiful.
But is it possible to put the moose between or amidst the Moose Head Knox in some way?
Ultimately, we're going to go with one of three design options, all with Portland Oregon below. The first would have the moose in front of Moose Head Knox. The Second would have the moose between Moose and Head with Knox in a powerful font centered below. The Third would have the moose above Moose Head Knox.
We also haven't decided if we'd like the moose to face Left or Right. Please show us both options to help us decide.
Also, since we're planning to stamp this design into leather, we want to see submissions in a leather branded mock-up.

Update: To all designers who have submitted designs thus far, and those who are working on our project.Through your submissions we’ve gotten a much clearer idea on what we are looking for. So, thank you.This is what we’ve realized:We have a very clear idea on the exact moose image we’re looking for. We want a more relaxed, dopey moose—reminiscent of images from national park signs. Some of you submitted really gorgeous designs, but rather than a moose your logo submission was of an elk or a reindeer. Some of you submitted really beautiful moose heads or moose silhouettes and other designs, and most of them are rather regal, stoic looking. I’m attaching to our brief a moose image titled "The Moose" that we’d like all of you to recreate in your logos.What we need most from you is clean and creative design that integrates this moose with the company name, MooseHead Knox and Portland, OR.The designs we like so far have either integrated the moose into the text in some way, or have stood the moose above the text.We also have liked designs that make the company name really pop. This has showed up in variations in text size, and even font. Some logos have opted for “MooseHead KNOX” which has a nice “pow” factor to it. Please be creative.To make this clear, we need:1.
