Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
I need a new logo design for an equestrian products and apparel boutique located just outside Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 'Performance Horse & Rider' retails the highest quality (read high-end) equipment and apparel for competitive equestrians. I deal mostly with show jumpers and hunters, and focus on the sport aspect of the equestrian industry.
I have uploaded my current two logos, which I hate. Both have maple leafs incorporated, and I am indifferent as to whether the new logo includes one. Because the name is long, I need a logo that is easily recognizable from a distance, and well suited to embroidery. My current colour scheme is Black with grey and white, and red accents. I'm looking for the new logo to be elegant, but modern, simple, and trendy.

I would like to thank everyone for their designs. They have all been really excellent, but I haven't seen any yet that quite have the feel I'm going for. Although I need the words 'Performance Horse & Rider' in the logo, I'm more focused on an easily recognizable character. I'm interesting in seeing a single object or character, I seem to be gravitating towards silhouettes. I'm also a young, trendy store in a conservative, traditional industry so I would like something that hints at that. Like something introduced from nerd culture, a monocle, a moustache, a bowler hat, along those lines. Thank you so much again, I really appreciate what everyone has done so far!

I still have a few days left of this project but I'm am getting very close to choosing a logo design. I just wanted to emphasize that although I want to avoid cliche and traditional equestrian logos, I do need a the logo to incorporate something that is obviously equestrian. The idea of the monocle, top hat, etc is just to update what could be a traditional looking logo, but that should not be the focus of the design. Thank you everyone again for your submissions
