Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for a nonprofit organization based in Miami, FL called 'OneWave Jamaica'. We fundraise and partner to acquire second-hand surf equipment that can be donated to partnering surf camps in the tourism-scarce areas of Jamaica, where a nascent surf community is growing. Because of the high costs associated with surfing, this captivating sport is not available to low-income at-risk youth. OneWave partners with community stakeholders like schools and municipal governments in Kingston and surrounding areas (where surfing is viable) to promote surfing as an accessible after-school activity. We would like to see designs that use muted tones of green/yellow/black. We are interested in a design that incorporates the feeling of surfing nostalgia (without being cheesy) and looks trendy. We would like the design to communicate global citizenship while remaining tuned into popular culture. As an example, we greatly admire the organization Pencils of Promise for their ability to remain "cool" while doing humanitarian work. We don't have any sketches but we would like something that resembles the logos attached (with either a wave or a surfboard).
