Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Fashion Hawk is a service where we add keywords to images of celebrities, identifying the designers who created the clothing items and jewellery they are wearing eg Jimmy Choo handbag, Versace dress. Finding out who designed what is a difficult task, and you have to be hawk-eyed to spot the designer labels. That's why we have married together the words Fashion and Hawk.

This logo will be incorporated into the web site of Keedup Ltd as the banner/icon for the Fashion Hawk service.

We need instant recognition of what Fashion Hawk is, such as a stylised image of a hawk wearing a fashion item such as sunglasses, a handbag or an earing perhaps. Another idea is to have a hawk looking at a fashion photo, although this is probably too fiddly.

As long as the logo gets across that we are using our hawk-like powers to spot designer labels, it will be in the running.

I'm not sure why, but this logo project isn't going how I'd hoped.  The hawks are looking sleepy or friendly, rather than fierce and alert (which is what we need).  The success of this logo is to juxtapose the fierce alertness of a hawk, with a girlie fashion item such as a handbag in it's claw, or an ear ring.  Ties don't work so well as they are masculine.  Another approach would be to use the silhouette of a hawk but in a fashionable print fabric such as hounds-tooth.  It would help if the hawks were more stylised.  For some reason we've mostly received relatively life-like illustrations of hawks which tend to obscure any fashion item juxtaposed against them.  I;ve scoured the internet to find some images for inspiration.  These aren't perfect, but give more of the idea of what we're looking for in terms of "attitude"(yes, I know some of these are eagles):

Hi

I would really like to see a simple design in which the hawk symbol is is silhouette but in a fabric pattern such as hounds-tooth, floral or paisley.
