Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are a group of medical practitioners who are all specialists in the field of cardiac and thoracic anaesthesia (known in the US as anesthesiologists). We provide anaesthesia to patients undergoing heart and lung surgery. We are forming a group for the purposes of marketing our services on a website, and we require a logo to use on the website and for business cards/stationary etc.
Please note: one of the classic pieces of equipment which distinguishes cardiac anaesthetists from others is that we regularly utilise "transesophageal echocardiography" in our cases - this is a distinctive piece of equipment (consists of a probe and machine, see attached) which would be immediately recognised by those in our field. Other ideas would relate to schematics of the heart and lung which is the focus of the surgery for which we anaesthetise, or the anaesthetic monitor we use during surgery.

The successful designer will produce a logo which appears refined and professional - a look which would be expected on a website of medical specialists. The logo design should create a feeling of confidence and trust. Whilst the design may include some of the images described above, this is not mandatory, and their use should certainly not be too literal.

Also note that for legal reasons the word "Inc." (short for incorporated) must be written after our name, but this can be in much smaller and more subtle font.

• Include the full name "Melbourne Cardiac Anaesthesia Inc."
• Note: The "Inc." in the name is a legal requirement, which refers to "incorporated". The font size/style should be more subtle for the Inc text.

Schön zu haben

• The logo design could incorporate the acronym MCA, so that it could be used on its own without the full text "Melbourne Cardiac Anaesthesia" while still identify us as a group. But it should still sit nicely against the text for the "full logo"
• The logo design could incorporate, in an abstract way, one of the elements discussed in the brief eg schematic of heart, echocardiography machine or probe, anaesthetic monitor.
