Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
End of Day 4 Update:
We are on the last day, and so far, only designer is a contender for the prize. We received lots of designs that were from good to mediocre', but only one that everyone on our team liked so far.
So, if you feel inspired, we do encourage you to hurry up and share! :-)

Project Description:
We need a replacement logo for our new national nonprofit organization, before the start of our mass media campaign.
"TSA Watch" will become the "Go-To" Civil Rights organization to help travelers frustrated with their experiences at airport security check points in the United States.
The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is the organization that conducts the security screening at airports. They search your luggage and your body if you want to get on an airplane. They search people 690 million times per year! Some of the people they search are very upset about it.
While many agents are good people, not all are.
TSA Watch will create public feedback pressure on the TSA to ensure their agents treat travelers with respect and dignity, and cease their abuses upon the public. We will also bring people together to encourage improvements to official TSA policy.
Every few years, they come up with new ways to search 690 million travelers a year. First it was removing computers from backpacks. Then removing shoes. Now it's walk through the strip search scanners (dangerous to your health) or get an "enhanced" pat down...which includes feeling passengers breasts and genitals through clothing.
This is especially upsetting to older people, people who had surgeries like hip replacements or mastectomys, because they set of the scanner every time...so they have their genitals touched as a condition of travel.
We will help travelers, both citizens and visitors alike, to file complaints and claims, and keep a record that is made public. We will also develop a smart phone app, to help people document their experience at the security checkpoints while it's happening, or right afterwards.
We will identify abusive TSA agents and send teams of volunteers to document their activities with video--and share that video with the world.
You can see our current logo uploaded here. It was good for just starting out, but feedback indicates it's too dark.
Another idea we had was to circle people around our logo, holding hands. See our video at 13 seconds with this link: https://youtu.be/Er24O3c31Ng?t=13s
Our longer video explains much more about the project and shows how we will use a logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_ra_OuKCUg
We want something inspiring of freedom and a safe feeling. Some people are afraid to join us, because they fear being harassed. But it's perfectly legal to stand up for your civil rights. And there is safety in numbers. We want people to feel positive when they see our logo, and to recognize it.
We also want the TSA Agents themselves to recognize our logo, as it will end up on and in people's luggage--reminding them not to steal from or abuse our members.
Red White and Blue are the USA flag colors, and TSA Watch stands for freedom, liberty, dignity, and the right to travel without unreasonable search and seizure.
When you present no threat, but the government goes through your bags, and also your clothing, touching everything, they are going to far...they become the source of terror, more than the terrorists.
We draw a line. Civilly, respectfully, in the open. We shed light on abuses, and offer a forum to share stories and advocate for improvements.
We are an IRS approved 501(c)3 Charitable Organization now; though we can only pay a little for now, we could also issue the winning designer a receipt for donating extra value, that can help them with their income taxes in the USA.
We've been working quietly on infrastructure for 6 months now, but are about to go big.
We are less than two weeks from the start a national PR campaign with radio interviews and press exposure. We'd love to have our new logo before that, so we can update our video and website with it.
As we gain more support, we will want to recruit graphics professionals for meme development, and other branding work.
Check out our website, which my unskilled self is working on daily...it's going through a major redesign and theme change in the next week. We expect to have more of a light white and light blue background, than the current dark theme.
While we don't pay well at present, at least you will have a national organization brand logo under your belt and we will gladly give you written references. And if our national launch goes well, we will tip out our logo designer.
We are aiming for a logo within 5 days, but will extend this to 10 days if we don't get the response we hope for.
Thanks, Evan

- TSA Watch
Schön zu haben
- It would be great to have versions both with, and without, our website url, www.TSAWatch.org.
- The www part could be shorter to save space... I don't know if that is a good idea for the .org part.
- Also, it would be good to have versions that work on different contrast...you will see we uploaded our current logo and it has a black and white version. One is used in places with dark backgrounds, and the other, the opposite.
- I used the sliders below, but am open to anything. We have several volunteers who will help us judge.
