Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Design a logo and colour scheme that clearly communicates the brands values and the products unique position as a zero emission dwelling.


Submit a logo, and various color suggestions. Ideas and suggestions as to how your submission would work in multiple formats (ie Business card, brochure, website) is not required, but certainly preferred.

The logo is intended to be used predominantly in web and print, although use in textiles, apparel, and video are possible in the future.

Dear Designers,

Although we are getting some strong designs they all seem to be coming in with  a very strong 'green' or 'eco' theme. Although they are elements of the brand they are not the main focus of our brand.

For that reason we have modified our brief to remove those keywords. We need to reinvigorate this design process.

We very much appreciate your efforts thus far and encourage you to submit a fresh design concept, avoiding the whole green concept.

Our logo must convey a strong sense of Zero Energy. The company will be building Zero Energy homes and townhouses. Home owners will have energy independence and in many cases a zero carbon footprint.

We appreciate your time. We just ask you to reconsider our brand and submit any new design concepts you have. Feel free to post your questions.

Some final points:
- Consider solar energy or energy revolution to your design. 
- Show electricity or 'free energy' or energy independence
- avoid Green, nature, eco, and environmental elements 
- we are all about energy independence from commercial electricity retailers
- emphasis on high thermal efficiency construction, high use of solar power, low water consumption

We are hoping for a renewed effort and challenge you, the designers to come up with some new submissions.

We have increased our budget to attract further submissions from the designers. To try to get some more interest and additional submissions we have increased 1st prize to $350 and added a second prize of $100.

UrbanZED needs a really well defined and unique look. We have seen some good designs, but we are just not getting the link to the zero energy dwelling concept in the work seen so far.

Project Deadline Extended
