Hi! Do we need to mock up the graphics on Real 3d shape balloon?
or you might just need a graphic image of design placed on balloon?
Some of us just good in Photoshop&Illustrators rarely can do wireframe 3d .
Pls. be clear on how to show you the design.

I am very much interested in working on this creative project. I have already started working on this Project. Had some queries as follows,

1. From the Color guide link given in brief can we use some color gradients or mixing of colors is allowed of simple flat plain colors mentioned are to be used.
2. The Photoshop Design that we will create, will it be processed in 3D software later as shown in the penguin Air Balloon link.
3. Are all the views front, back, side views of the Balloon needed for submission or One single side like front view of the character is fine for submission.
4. Are you gonna wait till the deadline gets over as many of them close the project before deadline, so just wanted to confirm.
5. Is the Project gonna get guaranteed as that adds to our motivation. It would be great if you could guarantee it.

Thank you for your interest and great questions. We are excited to have you participate. I will do my best to answer your questions below:

1) The fabric is produced in certain colors and that is what is represented on the color palate. Different colors can be used on the balloon by cutting the different colored fabrics and sewing them into the balloon. So, we need to use just the colors provided in different ways. They can also "paint" on the fabric as well in different colors but that increases cost so would only want to do that a little, if any.

2) We will provide the art-work that the winning designer creates to the balloon manufacturer who will render in in 3D in some way as shown with the Penguin link. You can provide in 3D but not necessary. We are really looking for concept more than final design.

3) Similar to #2 above, we can consume your art-work in the best way it is for you to work with and translate your concept. Provide the views best suited or necessary to show your concept.

4) We'd like to see as many ideas as we can but are committed to providing the feedback necessary to progress the ideas. If you are on the right track, we will certainly let you know. We will also do our best to let you know when we are looking for something different.

5) Understood. We are committed to this effort and to the designer that wins.

Thank you for your interest and your question. As for theme, we provided the Penguin not as a specific design but a concept we like. We would love to see designs that take that and create something fun with personality. We have played with the idea of a parrot but just an example. We think this concept would be fun with animals, birds, fish or something else potentially.

The key is how to use the basic balloon shape provided though we can add basic "appendages" like the penguin. We also like the idea of something with alot of color as that stands out more in the sky.
