Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

UPDATE: I'm getting too many ship's wheel motifs - can anyone come up with something simple, typographical and beautiful?!

This is a new consultancy business. We work with island governments, universities and research organizations helping collect social data on marine issues such as fishing, coral reefs, marine protected areas, coastal development, martime heritage etc. There is often conflict between fishermen and the government for instance and the aim of the business is to give both fishermen and government the skills to work together on marine policy issues. So we run workshops, conduct interviews, train people in facilitation, public engagement and conflict resolution. The heart of the work is to give people, often very poor folk who are regularly ignored, a voice in decisions that effect them.
Anyway - we need a logo. All ideas welcome. It doesn't matter what color or shape it is. The hyphen needs to stay but the word SEA doesn't have to be capitalized. There are a lot of marine companies so to stand out I would prefer something that doesn't include wave motifs or is blue! ;)

Zielmarkt/( -märkte)

Universities, conservation agencies, government environment departments, environmental NGO's, researchers..... but also..... fishermen, local authorities, community groups both in the UK, EU and the Caribbean.
