Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

A community interest company is being started up to tackle the issue of littering among rural and suburban highways - the problem is primarily down to casual littering - eg fast food and drinks containers cast from vehicles.

We have a name: vergeant and a url, vergeant.com (taken from 'verge', got a feel of 'sergeant').
We think the logo should feature green in it somewhere, (ref grass verge) but this is up to you. Initial feeling is it should have a modern, professional feel though other design routes will be contemplated. Maybe should reference the 'road' aspect.
Undecided as to whether the word should be Capitalised or not capitalised.

Logo will need to be appropriate for use in the following applications:
Website / digital (responsive, plus icon, favicon, etc). Smaller icons (favicon, app) could use the 'v'?
Physical signage
Other offline, stationery

Strapline will be something like:
Love your route

We will need knowledge of the font used (pref licence free) to be able to add more straplines later.

This will be a bit like Adopt a Highway in the US. But more modern, and must appeal to businesses and public alike.
