Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

This is your chance to be the new logo designer for a key Australian organisation.

Australian Marriage Equality is evolving. In 2013 we have been busy restructuring our organisation to be like our sister organisations in the US (Human Rights Campaign & Freedom to Marry).

This year we expect a large amount of exposure in Australia as our new campaign is launched in the coming months in the lead up to the Australian Election in September. In addition to a new logo we will also launch a new website in the next month.

The winning logo must be simple, creative, have colour and be easily recognisable. Something iconic that people will want to wear on their baseball cap and put as a sticker on the back of their car.

The logo must be:

1. Iconic
2. People will want to wear it and put it on the back of their cars
3. Somehow related to marriage equality

Please see the design brief (PLEASE READ DESIGN BRIEF - FILE ATTACHED!!) and feel free to ask any questions you would like. I will endevour to answer your questions and give feedback as quickly as possible.

I have attached our sister organisations logos not to copy - but to give you an idea of what our other organisations have done as an idea of what we are looking for.

FYI - In the design brief it talks about "Liberals" as a target market. For those not aware of Australian politics you should know: the Liberal Pary of Australia is our conservative party. Just to keep you on your toes. ;)


Lastly - marriage equality is about same sex couples being able to marry. Opposite sex couples in the logo are not appropriate (we have received a few already!). Try to keep the logo simple and the colours nice (not clashing). Try to keep away from representing brides and grooms. We are not looking to update our existing logo, rather to have a completely new logo.

***Generally speaking keep away from logos with hearts and equal signs on them. Unless they are very original!***
