Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I'm starting a new business selling American-manufactured unique hand-made cast glass tableware from Richmond, VA. The new company will be named Genevieve Sheridan, after my mother who is no longer with us but was instrumental in teaching me how to be resourceful and self-sufficient. First items to be sold include serving plates and bowls of all sizes, vases, charger plates. I like clean, crisp modern fonts and I think I'd like to keep the colors neutral, say black, grey brown.

Note: earlier I had a caricature that I wanted to use in the logo but my impressions now that I've seen some using that caricature is that it is too unsophisticated.
