Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hello,

My name is Paul Krueger and I am the pastor of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Winchester, VA.

We’re looking for a new logo for our church that we will be able to put on our new sign, on business cards, flyers, stationary, etc.

It would be great to incorporate the name of the church into the logo in some fashion, eg. hills or a shepherd or shepherd's staff.
At the same time, however, there are two things we want to take into consideration: First: we’re looking for a simple, classic logo that will be easy to identify. Second, we want a logo that somehow sells the idea that we are a church. (If it's a picture of hills, perhaps a cross on the hill?)
We don't want to just google search "picture of some hills" and then slap it next to the church name.

We’re probably looking for something in the two to three color range so that there is a little variety but it isn't going to be crazy expensive if we want to do screen prints down the road.

I'd like the illustrator file so that I can resize etc. for different publications.

I have attached a picture of our current logo which, as you can see, isn't much.
