Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I'm looking to improve on the existing logo for my company "Cactus Offshore". The company is Texas based, hence the "Cactus" and our work is installing pipelines and structures on the seabed in anything up to 7000' (2200m) water depth, hence the "Offshore". It's a young aggressive company with some swagger and attitude which separates us from the usual consultancies. I'm open to any colors but I'm looking for something that is memorable, youthful and vigorous but not too bold to frighten off the typical conservative oil and gas company.
