Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I want a logo for my new website. It's an online business directory. I am really into simple logos. The name of my website is: MURSHID MUSCAT. 2 words, Compounds. MURSHID is an Arabic name which means: Guid, Advisor. MUSCAT is the capital of Oman which is the targeted place of the business directory.
I like to follow the steps of, facebook, quora, twitter, amazon, and such websites. The logo of the website is simple; just the name of the business.

Since mine has 2 words, compound, I really would like to see something like: https://tutsplus.com/ . Tuts Plus Premium. I like how they have the 2 words with the nice colored background. So, maybe creating a cool new font.

Another thing I would like to see in the logo, maybe, a simple symbol, "gesture", like the arrow in amazon.com's logo, for example. "The logo has an arrow pointing from A to Z. For mine, maybe use those pins that appear on google maps to indicate the place of a business for example. Use a pin for "I" in Mursh"i"d, maybe! just an idea. Anything to reflect the purposed of the website, online business directory: businesses, their locations, reviews, star rating, etc.

As for colors, I would like light green, light red colors to be used. Maybe for the background, then the letter just in white!

I am open to any suggestions. You great designers know best and you are very creative. I am sure I will get great designs.
