Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Headwaters Charitable Trust is a 501(c)3 organization formed in 1989 to
enhance the lives of all the people living in North Central Pennsylvania.
The Charitable Trust administers grants, promotes value added revenue
acquires land rights on behalf of sponsors to support projects in the areas
green jobs, agriculture, forestry,development and water resources.
Since its inception, the Trust has raised more than $12 M for 115 projects
have improved 130 miles of streams and developed 74 miles of recreational trails, conserved 1,200 acres of forests, and established rural fire protection for 18 communities, as well as, sponsoring youth internships and vista volunteer opportunities.

We are rebranding for a fresh look that incorporates our "3 E" approach - Employment, Enjoyment, and Ecology. It's important that our logo says "Headwaters Charitable Trust" as there are other organizations in our area also working under the moniker "Headwaters."

Please read the detailed instructions as followed:

COLORS --
We'd like to stick with a 3-color design based on the prototype provided with a dark green, brown, and then either a navy or burnt orange (left up to your design preference).

GRAPHIC ELEMENTS--
Tree: We'd like for the tree to be an eastern hemlock as this is the state tree of PA
Heart: The prototype has a basic, blocky heart...we would like instead for the heart to be an outline and to open at the bottom, giving the appearance of the roots of the tree (nothing too detailed, so the logo is still replicable on merchandise).
Hands: We like the hands because of the human element it provides however, there is some debate among our team as to whether the hands should be open or in a handshake (showing partnership, however we are unsure how this will look with the "roots" idea).
Text: Placement and font are flexible, use your discretion.
