Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I'm a freelance front-end web developer based in London. I'm about to develop my new portfolio website and I need a nice logo.

I would like the logo to be strong enough to be the main focal point of my website and perhaps dictate the style, layout and colors. Its very important that the logo is contemporary, professional, simple and stands out. The website is going to be innovative and the logo needs to reflect this too. I like the logo for channel 4 - it uses shapes to make the logo.

My initials are ET and I would like these letters to form the logo. However, it does not have to be letters. It could just be an image / icon representing me.

Yes :-):
Strong, simple, bold, engaging, energizing, creative, contemporary, dynamic, professional.

No :-(:
Boring, Bland, Corporate, dull, old fashioned, childish, conservative, patronizing.

I don't have a preference with colour. Please don't sent blue logos on a white background!

Update: I've just uploaded a quick sketch I did. It's just an idea of the sort of thing i'm after. It has just thin horizontal lines. I would imagine this logo designed with day glow colors eg. florescent green on a dark background. Please don't think you have to do this. This is just an idea. It's abstract, still ET. But this doesn't have to be obvious at first sight.

• Be professional but not boring
• Engaging colours. it must be cutting edge.
• I will require this as an illustrator file for svg.

Schön zu haben

• ideas about animation and / or how this would fit in a website as the main focal point.

Sollte nicht haben

• No boring colours (I don't want to see conservative blue with white) and boring design. Not corporate. No White background (it can still have a light background, just not white). Please no old fashioned IT style logos. Think Google and companies like this.
