Hot Yoga and Pilates fusion Studio (in Fitzroy Melbourne Australia ), offering innovative and intelligent to exercise for all ages and genders.
'A retreat for the mind, body and soul without having to leave the city'.

Phase 1 2013
Starts off with me as a mobile instructor bringing an innovative fusion of yoga and Pilates, mind and body movement to corporate and innercity suburb clients. Also working with keen cyclists , creating Pilates cycling programmes for CBD clients. ( i have an opportunity to use a space in a specialised bike store)
I aim to build a client base and strong male/female following to be able to also set up successful 1 week yoga/pilates retreats in Australia and overseas which will be an integral part of the business. (Can generate interest from overseas clients)

Phase 2 2014 - main objective
Setting up a 'Hot ' Yoga and Pialtes fitness studio combining Yoga/Pilates/ circuit Fitness /Strength and innovative exercise. First studio in Melbourne to offer 'Hot
Pilates'. Studio will have 2 rooms, one heated, one conventional. Want to appeal to a broader market of fit young professionals, hence I need to give the unheated option. Yoga and Pilates is popular in Melbourne but there is a lack of studios offering the 2 together, and catering for both male and female clients. This is a studio where my clients can get a fun and challenging workout from highly trained instructor.
The studio will be a beautiful space, modern yet funky ,appealing to the demographic of the area i want to set up it. A place clients can come to and relax and become part of its culture.

  'retreat' to be the main focus. I want to build a brand name that people know includes yoga and pilates without having to say it. I.e a scenario when someone asks a friend Q:"where are you going tonight?'..A : 'I'm going to the Retreat to work out'
  The Yoga and pilates text comes secondary to it and i'd like the flexibility to be able to take the retreat logo/icon and use it by it self if needs be.

  hello, thank you all so much for your designs and interest in my project.below is some feedback,please let me know if you need any more clarity. I look forward to seeing more of your awesome designs :)
  After seeing my original suggested colourpallette in the designs it became apparent that it was too heavy set and bold for the logo. The red, purple grey and the golden brown colour aren't a great combo. Although i love red I dont think it is suited to my brand. I need to envoke health, vitality, creativity & energy...Light purple, green, warm blues/aqua, warm greys, and goldenyellows/oranges may work better.
  I had a look at some more examples online and have put up some that I like in the newest zip folder titled 'RYP media'. I really like the contrast of a dark background/colour blocking and also put in examples of use of logos that use a rainbow colour spectrum on dark or light background which i think works quite well.
  i had a play around as well with some ideas which are all labelled RYP images. I found a font which i liked called Super Rad on dafont.com. I like the typography of the jpg 'shine', and had a play around with the super bad font to make the 't' taller and font thicker to emphasise the work' treat' within retreat, and also would love the option of having the 'R' bigger. it would be great to get some options showing a bit of a creative play on the word retreat to make it stand out if possible.
  You will see i also did a couple of designs using the peace sign and another sun shaped bobble logo used from the 'urban retreat logo' in the original look and feel zip folder. These are all very simple and rushed design on my part but if anyone would be interested to explore these options that would be ace!
  If anyone wants to go down the flower route... Although im not keen on using the lotus flower, a vector logo came to my attention which reminds of the birds of paradise flower - see image 'vecto_logo_vector_preivew'. This looks really cool side on. I would prefer to have the logo with a modern and funky edge but i find there is a certain calmness in this flower design so it would be great to see it in a design.
  With the business card it will be just one sided. The other side blank so i can write appointments times on .

• - a warm bold colour palette. I'd like the logo to be modern yet funky,appealing to the local music and cafe culture as well as corporate clients.
  I envisage the studio being modern with a retro Scandinavian look and feel. Warm wood tones and textures mixed with bold warm yellows, red, blues, etc.
  
  I love the colour combo of red and aqua. I also love yellows, purples, and greens.
  
  Im not a fan of cold tones or pastels, washed out colours. I hope that helps! :)

  -no lotus flower logos or abstract lotus illustrations (has been overused in yoga industry)
  -no overly girl colour pallettes i.e pink/purple/baby blue
  -no scripted eligable fonts
