Piano genealogy graphs template, for a large poster printing
Add your question or comments below
Please add a title to the poster: 'Genealogical Trees of Pianists'
What size is A40 and what file format will you require?
I am looking at poster size that is around 1000 x 1500 mm in size. I do not know much about paper sizes, so please chose whatever standard size you like, which comes close to that.
I did another search and found 2A0 is 1189x1682mm, which is closest to what I need. I will edit my brief to add this information.
I am happy with whichever format you consider best suited to this kind of job. If possible, I would like the boxes to be easy to resize, duplicate and add further text later (I will be doing it myself).
Please let me know if I can clarify anything further, and thank you for your interest in this project.
What computer programme will you be using to edit?
I think one of the programs from Adobe will be fine. Which one did you have in mind?
In Design. Please clarify exactly what you require, not 100% about content.
InDesign is perfect.
I am basically looking at redesigning what I already have (in an attachment), so that it looks professional. Please dont limit yourself to what I have provided.
I need poster that would have
- a background (that would work on a large poster),
- title: Genealogical Trees of Pianists (in a large font),
- one or more design of nicely looking text boxes (please feel free to be creative), that I can resize to fit various number of pianist's names, dates and flags (as in the sample provided),
- arrows that match boxes and background
- text labels that can provide names for geneaogy trees (eg. American Tree, Branch I),
I would like it to be able to populate a larger poster with high number of those boxes (I currently have 10 genealogy trees), just by duplicating and resizing templates from your design.
The visibility of text is important.
I hope this makes sense. Please do not hesitate to ask for more clarification.
Do you want the whole space filled?
Do you want the same info the boxes or leave blank?
No need to fill the whole space, but if possible, I would like to know how many boxes I can fit in the horizontal and vertical space, so that I can asses, if all the trees that I currently have will fit. If there is too much space, the boxes can be made bigger to increase their legibility.
