Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I am seeking a logo for a wide scoped sustainability project in the rural drylands of Australia. The project is an altruistic not-for-profit based on 100 acres Meckering, Western Australia.

There are several elements to the project. The project's aims are to demonstrate sustainable building, agriculture, energy and food production practices. It is a large labour of love.
1. A permaculture operation (an abundance of diverse crops, bees, sandalwood, aquaculture) that supports several residences with excess production going to feed the hungry in Perth.
2. Rehabilitation of degraded salty agricultural land to zones of natural state and sustainable agriculture.
3. The primary residence is constructed using sea containers and earth berm/passive housing/earthship principles. Down the track additional farm stay accommodations will be built using various sustainable housing methods with full disability access.
4. The site does not have power or water. We manage our requirements with renewable sources and careful rainwater harvest and management.
4. An education facility will be built in 2017 to provide knowledge about permaculture farming, environmental rehabilitation, regional salinity, sustainable building and general natural resource management.

For a logo, I am absolutely open to suggestion. It would be great if it included a series of swales in cross section view. See attached diagram of what swales are. They're an iconic element of permaculture design. Other elements that could perhaps be used: trees (native eucalyptus or fruit tree), bees etc. It's a great sky viewing place so the milky way and southern cross. There was a major earthquake here, so have fun with that also if you like. A quick google image search for 'gunawundai' will yield pictures of the original property if that is of assistance. Another bloody hippie organisation with a tree in the logo :) A bit of whimsy is ok.

General population. The aim is people involvement rather than the sale of products, so altruistic types rather than corporate. Perth is a high income city, so expect most altruistic types to be young, affluent and sophisticated in their tastes to some degree.

• A cross section of swales down a slope. Tree, bees, Milky Way, birds etc (of course you don't have to cram all of those in. An impression of environmental abundance.
• Something that can be adapted to business card and website design as the next DesignCrowd project.
