Since your competition is under Illustration projects .. i find it a bit unclear what you are actually looking for? Industrial design (3d model of a New Mobile Ice Cream "car/bike")? Corporate Design for the Business? Design of stickers to be put onto a car?

For me it is realy not clear if this project is more about designing a concept for the business itself or concept drawing of specific elements of corporate design?

Ive done a corporate design project a while ago for a sweets shop, that reminds me a bit of stuff in your attachments. Since it is a 200 dollars project- i think it might be good to be more specific- what exactly you are looking for. Seems like a great & fun project but i wouldn´t know where to start.

Hi Mark - Sorry it was not too clear - we are looking for creative design ideas as to the form and theme of the mobile ice cream vending vehicle we are looking to create - the underlying vehicle is of little relevance other than the fact that we want a relatively small footprint (ford transit, nissan nv, etc.) and a vehicle that is street legal and can be driven by anyone with a standard drivers license. The idea is to get participants in the DesignCrowd contest to provide design sketches of the themed vehicle based on their ideas within the parameters and thematic direction we provided. So two components - (1) come up with interesting and unique overall design and components within the design on the vehicle and (2) provide some sort of rendering of that design concept in rough sketched form (or better if desired). Winner will be invited to provide more detailed designs and renderings as part of next phase. Lots of ideas and samples of submissions we have had from other designers provided in the attached materials. Hope this helps. Thanks. Alan

Wow this project sounds so super fun!

What I can do for you guys is sketch out some beautiful drawings and then when you are happy with where the concept is going, I can actually 3D model them with dimensions for manufacturing too.

Do you have any preferred medium you would like me to use for this illustration? I can use pencil, water-colour, acrylic? Perhaps, I can send you line drawings first to get the basic shape and concept on the right track and then colour it up for you?

I'm going to get started on this over the weekend for you.

Hi Ingrid - Any medium would be great - line drawings initially would be fine - but I thin k colour will play a major role in fully conveying a winning idea - our initial pass is to try and get visual renderings of concepts and ideas that we like and that we can see the potential of working with that creative talent to develop the ideas further from there. We realize this project requires a fair amount of creativity but we are hoping we can find some fairly talented creative people that we can potentially work with in the long term going forward. We have been involved in the ice cream business for over 25 years and have developed and gone to market in North America with at one point over 300 different locations across 4 different concepts - this is the one project we have always wanted to do - our own concept from the ground up through to 1000 location franchise system - that''s our goal - these are the first steps - we are pursuing creative design input from a broad spectrum of sources to try and converge on the common elements that seem to work from a broad cross section of creative talent and then home in on a final, hopefully fantastic, concept. Let me know if I can answer anything else. Thanks!
