T-Shirt-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I require a t-shirt design that celebrates a very famous New Zealand cycle race, called: Dulux Six-day Cycle Race.

It was raced for 25 years, from 1960 -1985.

It’s now defunct.

T-shirt design visual elements:

The link below takes you to the original Dulux Six-day Cycle Race emblem (worn by the race mechanic). I’d like you to use/incorporate these elements:

I’d also like to include the date: 1962
(So the design style should reflect this vinatge).

And the words below (as a ‘footnote’/visual interest factor):
660 miles. 240 prizes worth £1,200. Sterograms. Silverware. Salad-servers.

(The story behind this is that the race was amateur and any prizes had to be “engrave-able” hence the Sterograms. Silverware, Salad-servers.)

Visual style/reference (well, one idea, but open to others):
I like Pista’s design used in their treatment of the t-shirt celebrating another iconic bicycle race, Paris Roubaix. It includes the Pista brand, but it’s subtle and the race is the hero

Similarly, I’d like to include the Lunn Ave Bicycle Club (LABC) label (that’s my bicycle club). But only as very minor detail - an identifier (like a clothing label)
