Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We’re challenging you to use your design skills to come up with an alternative logo for Uber. You can choose to evolve their old logo, redo their new logo, or come up with a whole new concept.

Here's the background:

Ride sharing app Uber has changed its logo.

The brand has released new rider and partner icons which prominently feature a digital bit in the center. (see the images attached)

CEO Travis Kalanick personally helped design the new logo, but the reception has not been wholly positive.

He has been criticized for using his own personal preferences, not hiring specialist agencies for the rebranding exercise, and creating something that looks robotic and unwelcoming.

Your task is to design one combined logo that represents the Uber brand overall. There is no need for separate consumer and driver icons.

The only word that can feature in any logo is 'Uber', and the design should illustrate the company as a lifestyle brand, not just a car/taxi service.

You must use high resolution images - with a DPI of 300 or higher.

Bear in mind Uber wants a design that is a framework that will also make it easy to develop different icons for new products over time.
