Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The Sausalito Public Library currently has a logo that looks like something out of a clip-art book from the 1980s. We need a new logo that is flexible for a variety of uses -- website, biz cards, letterhead, color as well as b&w. We'd like the logo to capture something special about the library and/or our community, beyond the typical book/books icons that libraries often use. You'll see among the uploaded files that we've tried a few test logos that represent the tall windows in the library and the cedar trees outside the windows. Another logo angle would be to include a reference to Sausalito's waterfront and marinas, e.g. a book with a sail. Including a book in the logo is not a requirement -- we want to avoid cliche. More about us can be found on our website: www.sausalitolibrary.org. Creative approaches are welcome!
