Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are producing a film entitled “For Love of Country – The Battle Within” and need to create an emblem/logo/shield that represents the project. It is intended that the final design be able to be scaled up or down to be used in a multitude of ways… As an embroidered patch on a hat or jacket as well as incorporated into T-shirts, sweatshirts etc… It will ultimately function as a brand stamp and be used throughout an advertising campaign.

The emblem/logo/shield should be military or law enforcement in nature (THINK MILITARY PATCHES AND EMBLEMS) and should incorporate/represent at least the main title “For Love of Country”. While it would be great if the Sub-Title “The Battle Within” could also be incorporated, it’s not necessary, but would be a bonus. We will also want a version that has the word “CREW” below the patch to designate an individual who worked on the production.

About the film’s subject matter…

Soldiers are coming home from the battlefield only to find the battle isn't over, for them, or their loved ones - and all too often, no one seems to be on their side. Veteran care has become a political football with the focus on debate rather than solutions. In the meantime, the brave men and women who volunteered to defend our freedoms continue to suffer from wounds of body, mind, and spirit.

"FOR LOVE OF COUNTRY – The Battle Within" is a documentary film we are making about the challenges American veterans face upon returning home. It will shine a powerful spotlight on the plight of our country’s heroes. It will be an incisive, no-holds-barred look at the broken system that tragically under-serves those who have served us all.
Our mission is simple... To create a project that not only asks the right questions, but provides the answers. One that will raise awareness and inspire reform.

We recognize the sacrifices our Veterans have made and hope this project will serve them, and their loved ones, as honorably as they have served us.

While doing our research we have been overwhelmed with the statistics regarding how many returning combat soldiers suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and how little attention this type of battle wound is given in the media. It is our intention to take a hard look at PTSD and hopefully identify its causes and the successful treatment options available.
PTSD is a silent killer. It’s a debilitating disorder that can cause lifelong distress to veterans and their loved ones, often with tragic consequences. As the veterans interviewed in “FOR LOVE OF COUNTRY” will movingly attest, PTSD inflicts a form of crushing loneliness and soul-deep isolation as harsh as that felt on the battlefield. But these soldiers are not alone. With tens of thousands of veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan, they are part of a vast PTSD tradition: a tradition of silent suffering as old as combat itself. All to often, these war torn hero’s return home, only to be abandoned by the very people and ideals they were sent off to fight for; lost within a cultural and political purgatory, cast out and forgotten, forced to cope with their emotional trauma alone. They are living links to a deadly epidemic of psychological trauma that stretches back to the days when David faced Goliath.
