Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Vintage logo for the oldest well-servicing company in the State of Oklahoma.

Looking for logo style from 1940's to 1950's. Search "vintage oil company logo" design to get a feel for the layout.

Sooner Completions, Inc. was formed in 1946 and continues operations to this day. For 70 years, the company has provided workover rig services and various other oil well maintenance services in Oklahoma's oilfields.

We want the logo to represent:

1. Our Company - Sooner Completions, Inc.
2. Our State - Oklahoma
3. Our Industry - Oil and gas
4. Our Specialty - Well service

Our company colors are red and white, and we want a VINTAGE logo which dates back to the 1940's to 1950's era to emphasize our experience and dependability. (EXAMPLES attached)

"Sooner Completions" should always be red on a white background, and white on a red background.

We will be using the logo on equipment painted white or red. Our business cards, letterhead and vehicles are white. Some equipment in the field is painted red, and we will apply the logo to both.

The company uses workover rigs in the field, and we would like to see a workover rig silhouette incorporated into the logo, but it is not mandatory. You can find photos and sketches of a workover rig on Google. (PHOTOS attached.)

ORIGIN of word - "SOONER"

The name "Sooner" is a term that dates back to April 22, 1889, when the U.S. government allowed people from all over the world to enter the Oklahoma Territory and choose 160 acres of land. One of the few rules to claiming a lot of land was that all participants were to start at the same time. Those who went too soon were called "Sooners". The event became known as the "Oklahoma Land Run" or "Land Run of 1889".

A "Sooner" was an "energetic individual who travels ahead of the human procession." He was prosperous, ambitious, competent, a "can-do" individual. And Oklahoma became the Sooner State, the land of opportunity, enterprise and economic expansion.
