Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hello,

We are a film distribution company based in Helsinki, Finland.
Our company's name is Filmhouse Distribution.

We are in need of a logo that we would use on our website, promotional material and on the dvd packages of the movies we distribute.

Attached is our current logo, and as you can see I'm NOT a graphic artist. I quickly whipped up that logo on photoshop based on my original idea of how the logo should look.

You are free to use the current logo as a starting point, or not.
I am open to ANY ideas!

There are three things I would like to point out.

1. Even though we distribute movies on dvd and our company's name is Filmhouse, I don't want the logo to have a dvd, a film projector, a film strip or any similar stuff like that.

2. The logo should be simple enough, and proportionally designed, meaning that the width of the logo shouldn't be too much higher or lower than the height.
I am open to any color schemes, but the logo shouldn't be too complicated. We would like to be able to possibly print it as a black and grey image if we needed to.
A one color logo would also look sophisticated, but like I said I am open to any suggestions.

The logo should be able to work even when printed in small places, like the spine of a DVD.

3. The logo should have the name of our company Filmhouse Distribution either on the right side or below.
We would use the logo without the text as well in some instances.

I hope my guidelines weren't too complicated.
