Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are opening a new ‘concept’ yoga studio with live DJs (playing mostly chill-out and electronica type music) with an ultra-modern environment.

The name of the studio “The Yoga Lounge” is meant to reflect this “lounge” lifestyle – both the music and the space.

People will be inspired when they come through the door – both by what they see and what they hear. The logo should evoke this inspired feeling.

Key attributes of the studio and brand (and hence, the logo design):

1) Inspired Design.
Specifically: Modern / minimalist with elements of 1960’s Mod. See links to our furniture below to give an idea for the overall look and feel of the environment and brand we’re creating.

2) Music – chill-out, electronica music that makes you want to move (or flow, in the case of yoga!) and hang out and lounge.

The music will set the tone and mood for the environment. The logo should also reflect this tone and mood. As an example, virtually anything from Thievery Corporation fits this mood.

(Interestingly, the logo for Thievery Corporation’s record label (ESL music) includes a piece of furniture - the Mod “Tulip chair” - see: www.eslmusic.com)

Other brand attributes are:
- Trendy / modern / cool
- Clean lines / minimalist
- Whimsical / Element of Surprise and the Unexpected

Other:
The logo ‘could’ (doesn’t have to) incorporate a music element (no musical notes please!) Perhaps the waveform of a music track (see example below)...or a vinyl record...or a DJ turntable. Again, this is not required.

  The logo should reflect these textures. It should have some sheen to it. It should not feel flat. It should have dimension and some weight to it.
