The five components of EQ are

1. Self awareness - Assessing one's strength and limitations and possessing a well grounded sense of self-efficacy and optimism.
2. Self management - Facilitating the ability to regulate emotions, behavior, delay gratification and manage stress.
3. Awareness of others/Empathy - The ability to understand the perspective of others and empathize.
4. Interpersonal skills - The need to establish and maintain healthy and rewarding relationships, in accordance with the community and society.
5. Responsible decision making - Making the most reasonable and objective choice from the alternatives available.

It has to be innovative, interesting looking and have a meaning such as components mapping on to the five competency model or a three component - self, others, community model, or any performance enhancement model
