T-Shirt-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are looking for a catchy T-shirt design used as a "thank you" gift to financial donors for our annual fund drive. The slogan on the T-shirt should read "25 Years of Free-Range Radio". The "25 Years of" could be separated from "Free-Range Radio".

Here are a couple of sentences from a letter that will go to our listeners about the same time as the T-shirt will be introduced.

"The term free-range means allowed to roam and explore with relative freedom; unfettered; not confined.

"I don’t think there’s a better way to describe what our dedicated programmers do. They explore music and issues that get short shrift in commercial media. And they’ve been doing it that way for more than 25 years."

For all designers, KKFI is looking for a bold design with a fun interpretation of the "Free-Range Radio" concept. The winning design will play on the Free-Range Radio concept by introducing a compelling illustration or visual graphic component - we know you can do it!!

Note: The design will be used on a roadside billboard (without the "25 Years of" phrase) so it should translate to the larger format.

KKFI is the Kansas City area’s independent, noncommercial community radio station. We seek to stimulate, educate and entertain our audience, to reflect the diversity of the local and world community, and to provide a channel for individuals and groups, issues and music that have been overlooked, suppressed or under-represented by other media.

KKFI’s music programming includes blues, jazz, reggae, folk, rock, hip hop, alternative, Latino, women’s and world music. KKFI’s local and national public affairs programming includes shows dealing with working class, peace, justice, LGBT, and alternative health issues.
