Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo design for a company based in Washington, DC, called Beth Lindley, LLC.

I guide people to a state of abundant health… with food and natural lifestyle. I focus on developing basic healthy habits, such as drinking pure water, taking out junk food, moving your body, breathing clean air, and eating more raw foods. I use raw food techniques as medicine to take health to the highest levels.

When we bring more energy into our being, we have more energy to play with. This can (and will!) change everything. For example, when you eat more raw foods, your body will typically focus on these things in this order, working from the cells out: holding more energy (getting used to it); using the energy to heal anything that is impeding it, such as niggling aches and pains, or more serious illnesses; increasing the physical energy available to perform everyday tasks so they are done more easily and for longer durations; and increasing feelings of contentment and happiness.

I provide individual, (online) group, and corporate coaching that helps people detoxify their bodies and boost their immune system, and I teach raw food classes.

I would like to see clean and simple designs that use healing colors.

The logo should:
1. Communicate what I do. - It should be understandable and sophisticated. Avoid stating the obvious with the graphic you to choose (in raw food this is a piece of fruit or a vegetable!) This can look cheap and unimaginative and lower the perceived value and classiness of my business.

Note that the logo doesn't have to include a graphic, sometimes it's better just to have a nice unique font created just for me. It depends on whether a picture is more helpful or not. Often it is, but it doesn't HAVE to be there.

2. Set a tone. The style of font should set the tone and the tone really has to be about my natural personality - friendly, not boring, adventurous, well-rounded, passionate, endearing, thought provoking, sincere, smart, and yet down to earth and welcoming. Any graphic should suggest transformation/blossoming and show that I'm helping people go after something quite miraculous. It should also bring an element of fun and surprise.

3. Communicate what the user will get from my product or service. I'm looking for the overall feeling customers experience here. Usually it is a solution to a problem (disease prevention or reversal) or a "pot of gold" scenario or feeling about the issue they are dealing with and have come to me for help with.

4. Be clean and reproducible in a variety of media. It needs to look great in big or small, and NEVER be too detailed. That is, it needs to look great whether it is small and compact on a business card or blown up and printed on the side of a truck.

The final design should communicate healing, rejuvenation, energy, joy, and raw (and living) foods such as juicing, wheatgrass, superfoods, etc. It should evoke a feeling of possibilities. I’m here to help others find their purpose. Excellent food is the door that opens this, but it is so much more than food. With excellent food comes clarity of mind, a body that feels glorious, and a soul that is free to be what it desires to be. My job is to help facilitate that journey for others.

The design should reflect 6 traits: simplicity, unexpectedness, concreteness, credibility, emotion, and stories. However, its true strength will ultimately rest on its values and its emotional connection with its customer. It should speak to the heart.

I am motivated to do this work by my deep desire to have helped my Mom beat cancer. Helping others helps me continue to heal my heart and rediscover myself after experiencing loss.

Would you please play with trying to use the initials of my name (bl) or the letters in my name to convey some of the raw food and lifestyle techniques that I use with clients, such as a glass of green juice, sunflower sprouts, leafy greens or green veggies, fruit (particularly lemons and limes, or berries), wheatgrass, movement/exercise, a juice machine, Vitamix, or Chef's knife... I'm somehow trying to capture the transformation that people experience with they go more raw - the more raw food you eat, the better you feel, the more beautiful you become from the inside out, your immune system becomes strong, and you have an abundance of energy to do the things that you want to do. I realize this is hard to capture in a name. But I know you are all talented!
