Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
The Educate Girls End Poverty project is being implemented by a consortium of NGO’s (RI, CfBT, GRT, CISP, ADRA, SFS, TAF) in Somalia and Somaliland. They are now looking for a logo to officially kick off! The project will support girls’ education by encouraging girls to go to school, to learn, and to complete the full cycle. The Implementing Consortium needs a logo that is appropriate for a Muslim environment, culturally sensitive (girl in the logo should be wearing a hijaab), does not have any religious connotations and symbolizes the theme of “Education of Girls”. It should be a logo that is easy to understand even for illiterate people, and it should appeal to adults as well as children. We are looking forward to receiving your applications!

Dear designers! Thank you all so much for your designs! We have been very happy with receiving your suggenstions for logo's thus far. Most of them depict a girl in Hijaab studying, like we had put as a suggestion indeed. However, perhaps we should have been a bit clearer that it would be so nice to be surprised by your expertise and creativity as well. Looking a the designs we have received thus far though, it would be nice to get some different types of images to choose from. We therefore strongly encourage all of you to be creative, and make suggestions of other images that can be used as a logo too! And once more, thank you for your submissions thus far. - Logo needs to be simple to understand and straightforward. A girl in hijab studying for example. However, we encourage creativity!
A simple design is preferred over a very complicated design, to ensure the logo can easily be painted on a wall of a school we support for example.
Sollte nicht haben
- The colours of the logo are a bit tricky, given the political sensitivities in Somalia/Somaliland. The colours of the flag of either Somalia or Somaliland should not be used together. So do not use blue too prominently, and do not combine green and red. Furthermore, a logo in red only is a no go too.
